Is Networks 3R a franchise?
As owners of Networks 3R we have some 50 years combined experience in the recruitment industry, covering all aspects from corporate HR, contract and permanent recruitment, start-up recruitment companies in more than 30 geographic locations. Much of this experience was gained through leading the growth of an award winning global recruitment franchise. Seeing what works and doesn’t work in a classic recruitment franchise has led us to launch what we believe could be a more accessible and flexible alternative. However, you may find that the classic recruitment franchise route might be the best vehicle for your aspirations and we would always encourage you consider and compare all available options.
What about networking sites? Aren’t they taking over the job of recruiters?
A 2013 study by the ‘Society for HR Management’ found 77% of employers are using social networks to recruit. With an average placement fee being similar to an annual LinkedIn recruiter license delivering comprehensive candidate searches within seconds, the business case is compelling, not just for corporates, but also for recruiters where 93% report to be using LI. Networking sites are ‘tools’ and cannot alone secure the attraction, qualification and ‘delivery’ of the end product/candidate without the essential dialogue of a 3rd party recruitment, through what can often be a complex and emotional process for the candidate.

What if I don’t have recruitment experience?
We are passionate about raising standards in what can sometimes be perceived as a low value industry with limited or no regulations and standards. Using a combination of your industry knowledge with proven recruitment practices puts you in a position of strength
How quickly can I make money?
On average it takes around 4 to 6 months for recruiters (from a standing start) to make their first placement fee. This also depends on how much time and energy you can invest into the business and how closely you stick to the 3R Academy proven business model. With hard work and a dose of good luck this can happen faster. There may also be an opportunity to be referred business from the 3R Alumni Network. For a realist cash flow planning we would recommend 4 month timeframe as a minimum expectation.
What fees can I charge my clients?
This will depend on the location you launch and work in and the level of recruitment services you provide. In the UK the average fees for a mid to senior permanent recruitment business average at around 20%, whereas this would be around 25% in Germany and France, 12% in Dubai and India. Part of our business planning will involve specific market research to give us a real but conservative estimation.
How much money can I make?
There are some variables here that we need to consider when we are building your business plan. These include: the level of recruitment (low skilled, mid-level skilled and executive), the industry you specialise in, for example some industries are ‘higher value’ than others again some professions are more highly paid. As an average ‘one man band’ start up, you would expect to make somewhere between 6 and 12 permanent placements in the first year. We will need to discuss your preference for low skilled volume recruitment as opposed to senior level higher value but lower volume.
What start-up costs do I need to consider?
We will work together to create a compelling business plan where we will discuss your aspirations and take a close look at what you want to achieve. This will help us to understand the initial investment and ongoing operational costs that are required. Because recruitment is a consultancy business the costs are low. You will need to make an initial investment of £10,000 to cover the business planning, bespoke marketing strategy and the initial training academy. You will also need to be able to cover the subscriptions for a minimum of 3 months.
